Mira Lagos is located in Grand Prairie near the Peninsula on Joe Pool Lake. With a setting just five miles south of I-20, it affords instant access to all the business, shopping and entertainment destinations in Dallas, Fort Worth and the Mid-Cities. Hwy. 360, just west of the community offers a straight shot to the Ballpark at Arlington, Six Flags and Hurricane Harbor while Lone Star Park, with its world-class horse racing, is a few miles north.

The community of Mira Lagos is in the Mansfield ISD and has an outstanding educational program. The MISD facilities serving the peninsula are also utilized for meetings and events for our community.

Lake Ridge is a new high school with a planned opening of June 2012. The new facility is on Day Miar Road near Mary Lillard Intermediate.

Mansfield ISD Natatorium
The natatorium complex with its 980,000 gallon Olympic-sized pool offers physical education classes, holds swim meets, and provides exciting swimming opportunities for the Mansfield ISD community. Mira Lagos has its own Home Owner’s Association. Their website is www.miralagoshoa.com This site has tons of community information including: where the pools and parks are, how to make reservations for parties, where the local schools are, a calendar of events, how to pay your association dues and contact information for all the departments within the City of Grand Prairie.

Veranda “South Pool”

This amenity center is often referred to as the “South Pool” and is the location of the on-site HOA office. The Veranda amenity center offers a 4’ deep lap pool and has special morning hours, during pool season, for adult-only swim from 7 am - 9 am.

Esplanade “North Pool”
2803 N Camino Lagos
This pool and playground is located north of England Parkway in El Sendero village and is referred to as the “North Pool”. The main pool at this amenity center features beautiful waterfalls as well as shallow and deeper water for a variety of ages and abilities.

Terraza “East Pool”

This is known as the “East Pool” and is in Marbella village. The main pool at this amenity center features a shallow section with a small fountain that is great for just getting your feet wet, sunbathing or introducing young children to the water.

Pools, Playgrounds and Walking Trails
Each of our three amenity centers include an open common area for kicking or tossing a ball, a playground with a play scape, swings and bouncy spring gliders. Each pool has a main swimming pool, a toddler pool, fountains, and patio furniture. Walking trails wind throughout the Mira Lagos community, near and around the playgrounds and ponds.
